At River’s Edge

May 8, 2007

“Yes, as every one knows, meditation and water are wedded for ever.”
-Herman Melville, Moby Dick

It was a long weekend on the water. The river slipped by quietly.

For every hour we fished, we spent an hour watching the Situk awaken its world. We discussed it all at river’s edge on mossy logs and heavy snow.

The river made us cold. The fish made us crazy. The sun made me a liar.

We made a legend.

Fish shots pending.

  1. Looks great. The river was in good condition?

  2. You are in your element TMF!

  3. Great pictures.

  4. I’m so glad you guys had such nice weather – and that you had a great camping experience. I can’t wait to camp with you and Sophia in just a couple of weeks!

  5. I want to know which part was the lie 🙂

  6. opax-the river was in prime condition. annie-i wrote in a post last month that the weather would be rainy and miserable.

  7. When did you change your blog? Last night?

“Wade” here a minute. That’s good.
