On Thanksgiving day this year, guys all over America got together in fields to play football. Others got together to watch football.

A few of us had something to do.

    to shoot a deer for supper.
    When he got home he was so proud
    that he’d gotten himself a whooper.

    I’ve eaten venison and carried a gun but find gorgeous a difficult adjective for the dead.

    Will catch and release ever snare the rifle fraternity.
